Yoga in the Workplace

It is well known that life at work can be full of challenges and distractions. Experts agree that managing stress requires self-calming techniques for the mind and physical exercise for the body. Yoga is an ancient system of mind/body healing combining gentle stretching and movement, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation that brings benefits such as a clear mind, calm manner and flexible body. This translates in the workplace into improved productivity, quick thinking and creativity. Communication often improves, conflicts are resolved through better listening, understanding and empathy and this frequently results in reduced sickness and absenteeism.

Yoga at work may sound unorthodox but its happening across the country as more managers struggle with ways to take the pressure off their staff. It helps that yoga can be done practically anywhere (boardrooms, lunch rooms etc.) and it can be shared by people of completely different fitness levels and ages.

Workplace Programs

The following programs are designed to restore perspective, reduce stress and improve physical and mental well-being. They offer simple mental and physical techniques that staff can incorporate into their work lives. With increased clarity and mental acuity, they can return to their jobs and integrate techniques to improve communication, enhance teamwork and increase productivity.

Yoga stretch breaks (30-60 minute) during lunch:
  relieve neck & shoulder tension
ease backache and eye strain
improve posture
deal with depression and insomnia
 
Energiser sessions for conferences and training courses:
30 minute sessions focusing on loosening neck, shoulders and back and a general revitalising of mind and body. Fit these sessions into your training and development activities as an ‘ice breaker’ and/or just after lunch.
 
Improve the effectiveness of your meetings
30-60 minute sessions to prepare minds and bodies before, during and after business meetings. Learn techniques to energise the mind and body, stay alert and improve your listening and memory skills. Readily accessible, the session engages everyone to learn techniques that genuinely assist in staying physically comfortable and mentally alert.
Breath away stress and learn deep relaxation
Practical techniques to help groups or individuals cope with stressful situations and improve concentration and focus in the workplace

 
Develop Sales & Business Skills
Learn how the flow of energy through your body and mind gives you power and strength to take on any challenge!
Life Balance
Manage difficult situations, develop patience and learn how to respond to problems
